What energy is most beneficial for the human race to tap into during the month of March?
ANSWER: Six of Swords
Six of Swords invites humanity to see the big picture, to engage with the energy of expansive pondering. This is eclipse season. There is a New Moon Solar Eclipse on March 8 and a Full Moon Lunar Eclipse on March 23. Life cycles are ending and beginning. Sh*t is real and when the hardcore goes down, tapping into the larger perspective will aid humans in the great transition.
The Six of Swords tarot card is associated with astrological configuration Mercury in Aquarius, a transit the planet undertakes for a few days at the beginning of March. In Vibrational Astrology, Mercury in Aquarius translates to communicating group consciousness; discussing an individual’s true role in the collective.
Six of Swords suggests many have been engaged in cerebral discourse regarding the function of one’s life in the collective for several months now, primarily due to the way Mercury has been moving through the heavens since December 2015. Mercury normally moves swift, staying in one zodiac sign for two to three weeks, but this has not been the case for the past few months. Mercury was in Capricorn from 9 December 2015 before heading into Aquarius on 1 January 2016, then it retrograded back into Capricorn on 8 January, moving forward into Aquarius again on 13 February. It finally heads out of Aquarius and into Pisces on 5 March, then travels into Aries on 21 March.
Mercury bouncing between Capricorn and Aquarius for such a lengthy period of time is significant. This means reflection on the role played in society and how this role functions in the collective is a critical lesson. Accept the true nature of transformed Self. Six of Swords indicates although Mercury isn’t going to be in Aquarius for most of March, ruminating on this topic with dedication for the next few weeks is imperative.
Every individual has an opportunity to assess, see and acknowledge how independent attributes are of value. NO PERSON or entity is insignificant; the world does not function without the contribution of each person, creature. There is a tendency to devalue the merit of existence, to declare, this person or thing is unworthy; but this action does not erase the entity in question. Even if a person or thing is “useless”, it makes an impact. This is the cognitive space we’re in: evaluating the truth of how Self and others function on this plane of existence with everything else.
Six of Swords also promises this is a transition period, we are in transit, moving on actively. We have not yet reached the destination. Keep this in Mind when March brings shock, awe, joy, fear, anger and other uproarious everything to the fore. Sail through it, to the other side.

KEY MARCH THEMES FOR EACH SUN / RISING / MOON SIGN:
Aries - Ten of Discs: Don’t allow thoughts of perfection to occlude the foundation being built. This is not an easy production, but with the correct community members in place performing their roles, the birth of the project or goal will be successful. Ten of Discs is Mercury in Virgo, suggesting there will be a lot of emphasis on completion, reaching the destination now. Don’t go there. Presently, this is still being birthed; in labor. Transition. The most profitable thing to do is rally the right crew, put each member in their place, see how the individual functions there. The functionality of the collective will determine the legacy.
Taurus - Strength right-ish: Taureans may be pushing too hard. In the right direction yes, but consider the force. Also watch out for heated arguments. Backing off does not decrease power, but saves it for something worthwhile. Consider what is advantageous before pressing down on the accelerator with full momentum. Expect it to be a wrap by late July through mid-August.
Gemini - Son of Swords reversed: Don’t think too much, it won’t help, will only confuse. Son of Swords represents Air twice, this element is intellect, a domain Geminis are total masters of. Son of Swords reversed suggests the highest use of Mind at this juncture is to consider other realms of existence outside intellect as equally valid. This card invites Geminis to avoid trying to prove a point, rationalize, justify; none of these behaviors will further. Also practice finding answers in silence; the validity of feedback delivered from nowhere will be so surprising, the accuracy out of this world. Look for signs everywhere other than thoughts. Ethereal answers beckon.
Cancer - Six of Discs to the right: There is so much going on for Cancers, as crustaceans are really pushing hard, especially in the realm of career and finances. You’re busy Cancer and will remain occupied with deadline after deadline. Six of Discs represents an equal give and take of effort, but its position to the right suggests Crabs are giving more than they are receiving. Six of Discs is associated with Moon in Taurus, an astrological configuration representing the reality of a deep inner knowledge things will unfold on a natural timeline. With this in mind, why push so hard? Really consider what needs to be scaled back and what needs more momentum. Feel free to distinguish this without guilt. Saturday 12 March and Sunday 13 March will amplify clarification on this matter. Balance it out. And KNOW compensation for your efforts is paramount. Only pursue opportunities that make the most money. Know your worth; this will help highlight the most pertinent pursuits.
Leo - Five of Cups: Emotional grief is a big deal for the Lions right now. Five of Cups is all about “getting over it”, mourning. But in mourning, there is also the opportunity to cherish what remains. Five of Cups is associated with Mars in Scorpio; the planet Mars will be transiting through Scorpio from May 27 to August 1. This promises much of the summer will be prime time for Leos to focus on picking up the pieces and fusing things back together. Being broken is not an option. Integration is the right formula.
Virgo - Eight of Swords: This tarot card suggests Virgos may struggle tremendously to see the big picture in March. Eight of Swords asserts Virgins are creating strange liminalities by perceiving goals, people or pretty much anything in a very linear fashion. Example: There is only one way to get from point A to point B. No. There are limitless ways, doesn’t have to be a straight line. Think on that! Get to grips with the reality of countless ways to reach the same destination.
Libra - Tower to the left: Hesitation to take action or complete on what’s been started, by Self or others. Tower is associated with Mars, whose sole energy function is to act. This card’s position to the left suggests a need to remove all doubt before moving ahead. What is in the way? Pinpoint the disturbance, extract it, then move forward. But be careful what you wish for; Tower card goes BOOM. There is likely to be some element of the equation guaranteed to explode, what is this bomb? Consider: do you really want to upset it? Sometimes it’s necessary to blow sh*t up and disrupt the status quo.
Scorpio - Shaman of Cups to the right: Scorpios gotta really keep it together. Shaman of Cups to the right is powerhousing it through every single task without disruption, bulldozing no matter what emotions come to fore in Self or others. This is great and necessary in war zones and situations similar, but in everyday life, maybe not so much. What are you really pushing for? Shaman of Cups to the right asks Scorpio to evaluate who and/or what deserves so much energy. This card is Fire-Water; a passionate, creative and spiritual affair is spotlit.
Sagittarius - Shaman of Wands almost to the right: Shaman of Wands is a master businessman, who brings disparate communities together. He is a savvy entrepreneur and master negotiator equipped with the ability to bridge. Shaman of Wands is a creative genius, risk-taker, gambler and fully expressed being. He is Fire-Fire, a combustible inferno of a human being. Expect to be lit to the maximum this month. Thank you for expressing your gusto like a volcano. Be aware, something will get burned.
Capricorn - Priestess of Wands right-reversed: This card suggests internal unease about a particular direction or person. There is a single-minded focus AND an ever-present, is this the right thing to do vibe going on. According to Priestess of Wands in this position, the unrest is necessary. Don’t expect to kick it, the sensation of imbalance will be there. There is no conclusion on why this is so beneficial for Goats to experience, but it is. Just feel it. I promise, it’ll all make sense later. This is the conclusion of a cycle. Of course there are loose ends floating around causing chaos without explanation. It’s because it’s dying and new life is born. Death and birth, it ain’t easy right now.
Aquarius - Death to the left: Slow down. At least this is what Death to the left wants to do. The card desires for a slower emotional integration process. This is so deep, maybe even buried under layers of consciousness. Issues of relating to another in ways imperceptible have been popping up for a long time. Death card is Scorpio; the energetic psychological process of this zodiac sign is to merge with things entirely, so it becomes the other object. What is stopping this process from occurring? Anything in particular? This hurts, is jarring and sucks. Set boundaries, moderate, these limitations lead to success.
Pisces - Four of Wands to the left: April is going to be awesome and Fish people sense this. Four of Wands suggests most Pisces are holding back in March, trying not to celebrate yet. You’re so in tune, that’s the perfect thing to do. Chillax, feel free to take it down a notch for a while. There may be a sensation of loneliness, but solitary rumination and not having a whole bunch of people in and out of your space benefits, believe. Four of Wands is Venus in Aries, a transit that takes place in the sky starting 5 April, so expect to be out and about then. For now, there are details you’re overlooking which can only be discovered in relative silence and peace.
TIPS, SUGGESTIONS & NOTES FOR THE MONTH:
- Observe. Visit museums, the top of the Empire State Building, somewhere with the best people-watching.
- Fly. In an airplane, a helicopter, go skydiving, windsailing, be above ground and look down onto the earth from the sky.
- Meditate on I Ching hexagram 20 changing line 4 to hexagram 12.
- Journal. Write down what has completed in Self and what has begun.
- Find strength in detached observance. The name of the game in March is to disassociate from expectation; be empowered by watching and sharing from a space devoid of assumptions.
