What is the most dynamic energetic manifestation born of this eclipse?
Answer: Ace of Rods reversed
It’s not what you think. That’s the answer. Simple, clear, precise. Unpredictable.
And wrought with the most epic, bungling maladroitness.
Ace of Rods reversed is literal growing pains, the card hearkens back to the pubescent era. Remember when Body gained inches? Joints and bones hammer against each other, muscles commit most painful taffy stretches, an unrelenting, excruciating, constant discomfort. Or when sex starts to happen in Body and hard-ons occur spontaneous, erect nipples always inopportune, orgasm feels evil, wrong because it’s uncontrollable and never been felt before. But was the goal met? Yes. Growth happened. Through boorish ineptitude we become who we are.
We’ve got a new moon solar eclipse falling in tropical Virgo at 20 degrees, the Virgin being ruled by Mercury.
Aces in tarot are representatives of Mercury, the super swift, dexterous travel communication messenger planet. Mercury goes retrograde in Libra September 17, the same day Saturn makes its ingress into Sagittarius.
So around this new moon eclipse there’s this flummoxed type of energy, which brings up bemused questions like is this right, where to go, what to do?
Here are the aspects:
- Sep 12, 2015 Sun in Virgo 19 deg 13 min opposition Chiron in Pisces 19 deg 13 min
- Sep 12, 2015 Mercury in Libra 14 deg 38 min semi-square Saturn in Scorpio 29 deg 38 min
- Sep 12, 2015 Sun in Virgo 19 deg 38 min quincunx Uranus in Aries 19 deg 38 min
- Also, the Moon squares Saturn on September 11 and then Luna sextiles Saturn on the 13th.
The way these planets interact with each other reinforces a doofus type of oblivion. Sun opposition Chiron is like BLURGH, butthurt; bringing to light that which eternally stings. The Sun quincunx Uranus is BLURGH, I want to bring it into existence now! But the quincunx creates a giant cube impediment obstructing the path, which is blocked off by walls on either side. There is a small opening on the right and left of the cube, so try to squeeze through. No go. Then try to chisel through. Doesn’t work. Now attempt to scale the wall. Finally get to top and realize the cube is not a cube at all, it is in fact a giant mountainous obstacle similar to the highest Himalayan peak and now have to climb back down from the top to get hiking tools, climb back up, then scale down the other side to arrive at goal. The thing about quincunxes is there is no direct route to one destination; the aspect creates the need to traverse countless options.
In addition to spiritual clumsy, Ace of Rods suggests there is a vortex inside magnetizing dynamism. An internal supernova powerhouse. An indefatigable commitment to creating anew exists. There is an unquenchable fire burning deep in guts, which is hella exciting.
A lot is going on during puberty: a grief over saying goodbye to childhood forever, the exuberant elation of becoming an adult and gaining the ability to have sex, physiological chemicals flowing in body creating insanity… but ultimately it feels so revitalizing to grow into unknown territory. Mission gets accomplished through all the gawkiness.
Ace of Rods reversed can suggest a perception of “going it alone” too. But this is just psychology, not necessarily real. Adolescents never feel understood, but they are.
This is a six month energy.
KEY NEW MOON ECLIPSE THEMES FOR EACH SUN / RISING / MOON SIGN:
Aries - Five of Cups: Utilizing wise emotion while powering through. Contrary to popular belief, Aries is very similar to Scorpio, as Mars was deemed Scorpio’s ruler in ancient times. The Scorpion’s current ruler Pluto seems to share an octave with Mars too. Mars is the energy of action, simply put doing something. Pluto is the energy of obsessive compulsion. Five of Cups is Mars in Scorpio and Fives in tarot are associated with Mars. This answer addresses instinctual operating. Drive is great but does preoccupation about something continue to disappoint? If so, then this particular ambition probably doesn’t serve as well as it appears to. Five of Cups is normally associated with grieving over a loss, but the gift of this card is all is not lost, there’s still abundance to partake in. Aries have a reputation for getting over things with the swiftness, but Five of Cups seems to indicate it’s not going to be easy to do that over the next six months. Instead of going after everything just to be busy and just because, there is a need to choose what feels right before pursuit.
Taurus - Emperor to the right: Emperor at this position in the Motherpeace deck indicates a headstrong person intent on winning at any cost, with very little regard for anything outside of their desire to dominate. Lessons in lording over sh*t are imminent. It could prove successful to do things your own way, for sure, or it could be the opposite. Emperor is Aries in tarot, a zodiac sign falling in Taureans’ 12th house of Soul and Emotional Ether. Since Five of Cups lands at Aries in this spread, there is a distinct indication going it alone relentless leads to emotional disappointment… if the goal sought isn’t dedicated to the betterment of humanity as a whole. For real, this pursuit can’t just be about you. Why be alone at the top fought so hard for? Who wants to sit on a throne with subjects who desire to piss on the crown? Embrace inclusionary leadership.
Gemini - Priestess of Swords to the left: Scribe mindless. To the left there’s doubt, about what to discuss. A persistent mental discouragement goes on, second-guessing, going over and over the same thing, maddening indecision. This mind-emotion pattern is beneficial to gain mastery over these next six months. Priestess of Swords to the left suggests the main awkward impediment to Gemini’s growth is over analysis. Too much thinking doesn’t benefit. Use the Queen water to disseminate the Swords air messages… feel first think later to create and then after the message is released, let it go, detach, move on and generate the next communique. Priestess of Swords in this position indicates advice from others might make experience even more confounding, learn to trust Self in a way that does not involve intellect.
Cancer - Hanged One: Head rush from inversion. Life is destined to transform in numerous ways Cancer. So, Hanged One has a lot of information, primarily stemming from the card’s ruler Neptune, which makes numerous awkward aspects to Mercury throughout September. Although Neptune is described in popular astrology as a mystic, inscrutable psychic planet… it’s not necessarily all that. On an energetic level Neptune symbolizes the insatiable appeal of a vision, a dream… but see, everyone has one of these, even Wall Street businessmen or super masculinized soldiers who could give a sh*t about meditation and the like. Neptune is transiting through Pisces now, the sign it rules, suggesting for Cancerians there is a straight up transmutation happening in terms of core philosophy, spirituality and relating to the world at large. Hanged One invites you to invert opinions, memories, thoughts, or feelings of how things should go in regards to manifesting vision. Allow the reality to come of itself, whatever happens is not in your control. Also, Hanged One suggests a need to be balanced no matter what, whether there is chaos or placid vibes externally the Crab is Zen.
Leo - Five of Discs to the right: Hard work, putting every ounce of energetic force into kneading circumstance. Mold body like bread. For real, Five of Discs to the right suggests a need to work the physicality on out. Lion, get a massage, start training for a marathon, create a weekly exercise schedule that is never deviated from. Five of Discs in tarot is normally associated with financial hardship, poverty consciousness and fear of losing security. In this position it’s clear there are kinks to be worked out regarding stress management and anxiety issues. There is a possibility the reality of current affairs is not as bad as it appears in the mind, that in fact everything is well. So, put extra effort into getting mind and body right through dedicated care of the corporeal vessel. Look at diet, fitness, health regimen, regulating sleep more efficiently or reach other well-being goals. Do something with the hands, i.e. pottery, get tactile. There is something about reconnecting with physique and physical environment in the next six months which directly correlates with material wealth.
Virgo - Daughter of Discs to the right: Find new name. Daughter of Discs in this deck is completing a ritual which sees her alone in a cave for a week discovering a moniker unique to Self, dropping the birth name parents provided. She is enthusiastic about maturing and advancing to next level in life. Virgo, explore new territory, literally and figuratively. Daughter of Discs to the right suggests research of fresh material may be beneficial, if studying the subject makes heart flutter. But Daughters in tarot tend to move around, they’re not stationary, as the little loves have the attention span of an early adolescent or young child. There is a risk-taking element to Daughter of Discs, she is one to hike through dangerous Grand Canyon trails or camp out in the middle of the forest by herself for 10 days. Virgo, go on an expedition.
Libra - Four of Cups leaning kind of right: Look around, what’s there? Eradicate discontent. Four of Cups is associated with Moon in Cancer in the tarot. For Libra, this means public standing and professional feats are highlighted. Either there is solid emotional fulfillment in these areas of life or complete dissatisfaction, no grey area. Much of the displeasure arises from holding onto old values. These ideals simply do not fit into life anymore. Discover what you want to protect on an instinctual level; this accustomed emotional habit is likely to be the source of pain. For example, “I don’t want to be like my mother”, “I want to be like my mother” or “But I’ve always wanted to work as a ____ for a living” is floating around on this topic and dominating perspective, but, who cares? How does being like or not like mother have anything to do with present life opportunity? The most potent rule of thumb for you Libra is give up anything having to do with childhood, do not act from the kid desire anymore.
Scorpio - Five of Wands reversed left: Upset management. Five of Wands reversed is Saturn in Leo, meaning there is or has been personality repression combat raging. This is likely to translate as an internal battle of some kind. This is a period of serenity. Should there be a situation in which volatile battle is required, step away, not worth it. The challenge here for the Scorpion is to disengage from titillating drama and to remain in peace. But see, this is an energy conversation, perhaps kundalini or inner fire. If the fire is externalized with this that her him other, then you don’t have it anymore. Use flames to fan creativity within and see what kind of remarkableness is produced.
Sagittarius - Fool reversed kinda right: No, denied. Sagittarians without adventure, wtf? What are you worried about? Fool reversed suggests a state of anxiety about moving forward into realms unknown. This anxiousness is completely inconsonant with the authentic nature of the Fool, who leaps into uncharted territory without the slightest hesitance, knowing providence is looking out for best interest at all times. Sagittarians are natural adventurers but Saturn enters your sign on September 17, which could initially be seen as some type of damper on the exploration of vivifying romanticism. Know Saturn is doing his job, which is to remove all fluff from the equation; anything that is not truly relevant is going to be panned. So if this means the Centaurs are grounded for a little while, so be it. Don’t fret. Conventionality is nothing to fear.
Capricorn - Priestess of Wands reversed: Wallflower observationalism does not sell. Priestess of Wands reversed does not believe in herself or her abilities. This is you, or someone in your community. Don’t fear, flow. The thing with Priestess of Wands is, there is this squelching of impulsive or instinctual communication. When she is healthy and in an upright position, the woman talks and there is no shame connected to what is said. It’s out there, front, center, all up in your face. And, it’s charming. Her authenticity is SO moving, even if she’s gargling on salt tears crying about the ex-lover. When reversed Priestess of Wands has a tendency to be meek, timid, obsequious or just the opposite, raging b***h, evil sh*t stirrer drama queen. That’s not the real her. Her true power is in spontaneous creative communication. Talk real. From the outset. Let tongue loose.
Aquarius - Eight of Wands to the left: Gotta wait a little bit for others to catch up to your ideas. It’s going to be on the slow side for Aquarians in terms of group efforts when Saturn enters Sagittarius September 17. The Virgo New Moon Solar Eclipse also emphasizes a distinct funkiness when it comes to partnerships or contracts. Allow a lot of time to ruminate over whether joining with this person/organization is truly the right thing to do. The hesitance is happening for a reason. Eight of Wands to the left seems to indicate the situation will worsen if forging ahead with agreements sans thinking every detail through thoroughly occurs. Slow down chill for a bit, ponder.
Pisces - Six of Swords upright, kinda right: Mental move on. Six of Swords in the Motherpeace deck speaks to high-minded consciousness and the ability to see several different perspectives at once to combine the context into one big picture. Focus on generating clarity in everything. Transparency is the key to the whole of life right now. Should anything occur as murky in any way, not for you. Simple, pure, comprehensible is your motto. Be direct and feel free to shy away from obscure discussions. Opaque no-go, lucidity yes please.
TIPS, SUGGESTIONS & NOTES FOR THE NEXT SIX MONTHS:
- Don’t be so hard on Self. Cut some slack, stumbles happen. You’re not stupid.
- Have a sense of humor. Laugh through the weirdness. It’s funny.
- Get blood pumping through risk-taking. Really, do daring things. Perform acts totally outside of what is comfortable. The energetic vibe is one of having to deal with a challenge without knowledge or mastery, going in blind. So just perform with no expectations, jump in head first then figure it out.
- View the past as a series of triumphs, not failures. No matter what happened, all occurrences back in the day are ultimately enriching wins. Forgive and acknowledge the strength engendered from trauma.
- Watch your step. Take extra precautions with immediate environment. The weekend this eclipse falls, I keep hearing stories of people losing their lives through freak accidents. One lost balance and fell down flight of stairs, the other slipped and hit head on concrete near pool. This energy is puberty clumsy, running into glass doors sustaining slapstick injury.
- Share strangeness openly. Do not keep growing pains to Self. Everyone is on some type of Doofus vibe right now, so opening up about what is going on will lighten the load and is mutually beneficial.
